Joni,

Thanks for the kind words. I don't like the term 'follower.' It's a 2-way street - right?

Excellent article and excellent case study. I also like the little subtleties on your web site. For example, I've never seen anyone invite me to "join" them on Twitter, it's always follow me or find me. "Join" me implies there will be a two-way interaction. That's great. Glad I stumbled onto this site from Twitter. :)

Brian,

I have heard from people who have had their Twitter account suspended for days, after someone faked an allegation against them.

I also had someone spoof my Twitter account and was glad when Twitter acted quickly to get the spoof account deleted.

My concern is more to do with people, who invest hours a day building a Twitter network (or ecademy, linkedin, facebook etc), which can be pulled at any time without their consent.

It's wise to integrate a blog or forum, which you own, into your marketing mix.

For the sake of balance, I am also aware of bloggers using wordpress.com, who have seen their blog suspended.

anybody who make up accusations can get your twitter account suspended, it is the no toleration policy twitter is exercising.

I would love nothing more than to say that Twitter is full of honest to god fearing people, but I can't there is a lot of crap going on there.
