Hello Danny,

Thanks. Regarding the high profile users unfollowing their twitter followers, yes, in my opinion it is planned.

However. I believe these people are genuinely doing it for the right reasons.

Planning their departure in advance probably makes it easier for their followers to accept.

I dont think any of them are doing it for publicity. Of course, i could be wrong.

Congrats on Marketing Profs, Jim - that's a major kudos for you to be included, these guys know their stuff and hope you get a bunch of new converts because of it! :)

The only thing I'm curious about is how much of the bulk unfollow is happening just because Blogger X did it, or Marketer Y, or A-lister Z, you know?

Great if it's something you really feel you need to do (although there are far bettwe ways to cull numbers than bulk unfollow). But if you're just doing it to join a trend and maybe "make a name" for yourself for a short time... I don't know, some of it just seems a little planned..

Hello Justin,

Firstly, congratulations on your great news this week!

You are right about how quickly things change these days. The only thing constant, is the state of flux.
