In yesterday’s post, I mentioned how important it is to enjoy and have fun with your work.
When we set up a business, we do it in order to achieve more than we would, if we were working for someone else. Of course, as a business owner there’s no ceiling on your income, so it’s possible to achieve more financially, than working in a regular job.
However, money is just one thing we should be seeking to achieve from our business. Allow me to explain…
Enjoyable, inspirational, compelling and FUN!
Yes, you need enough money so that you are free from financial worries and can look after the people you care about. The thing is, no one said that your successful business couldn’t be enjoyable, inspirational, compelling and fun. In fact, if you want to be really successful, I believe you MUST build a business that gives you all those great feelings and emotions. There’s so much more to life than work and money – Our families, friends and health are priceless.
We don’t want to end up like those business people, who in their quest to have all the things money CAN buy, they end up missing the things money CAN’T buy.
Let’s work together and grow your business. To find out more click here!

People are always telling me I work too much but in all honesty I love what I do so it doesn’t always feel like work. I agree that to be successful you need to be good at what you do and enjoy doing it. Plus if you love what you do you’re much more likely to want to talk about it, share ideas and provide good content marketing! Great post Jim!
Thanks, Peter.
I’ve found that money can come from anywhere, really, so long as you work for it. The feeling of sleeping in or being able to make time for friends or having the financial freedom to buy people ridiculously awesome Christmas presents is something you have to build. Money is just a means to an experience
Hey Corey. Like you say, money is a means to an end.
Where some seem to get confused, is in the believe that money IS the end.
Thanks for the feedback.
Of course I agree with you too. But we need the money to keep our family and friends happy satisfying all their needs.
But?
“.. you need enough money so that you are free from financial worries and can look after the people you care about.”
Yeah, I struggle with this one. For me it’s all about the money. Money eases pain and buys you all the resources that you need to do what you gotta do.
My friend Nile has a net worth in the tens of millions, and would happily give all of it away to have his health – something all the money in the world can’t do.
I appreciate what you are saying, but I will never agree that ‘it’s ALL about money’. It really isn’t. You need enough of the stuff that you have all the things money can buy, which matter to you. However, none of that is worth a thing, without the things money can’t buy.
