What is important to your prospective customers right now?
Are you in the picture?
One of the cornerstones of great marketing, is to start with an accurate picture of the way things are. Many small business owners get this wrong. They make decisions based on how they want things to be.
Do the research. Then market your services or products with the right message, to the right people, at the right price and at the right time.
So, what research do you do? What tools do you use? Share your thoughts with a comment.

I like to use Google to keep a close eye on what my competitors are doing now. Then I csn work out what it is I have to do next.
I also spend as much time as possible talking to my customers, they know better than I do what my business is.
@John I do the same. Google is a powerful research tool.
@Jim Is this your shortest post ever?
Thanks X
Hi Jackie. One of the shortest, I think.
Nicely put. Too few business people will invest in decent research. Its one of those things that separates the pros from the rest.
Hi Gareth. I’ve never met a successful business owner, that didn’t invest the time required to do the research required.
Thanks for the feedback.
