I spoke with an old friend recently, who wanted some help.
It seems that a couple of years ago, without realising it at the time, he took a wrong turn. Instead of building a business that would give him the lifestyle he wanted for his family and himself, he started lowering his aspirations to suit the limitations of his business.
- He started to settle for less than he wanted.
- He stopped making meaningful progress.
- He found himself working long hours with little more to show than he would have had, if he’d stayed as an employee.
Why did we start our businesses?
This got me thinking about how important it is to remember the dreams and aspirations we had, when we started our businesses.
Goals and targets are extremely important – but remembering why we set them, is crucial.
