Today, I’d like to show you how to massively improve your sales results or attract more clients, with a simple and powerful improvement to your marketing.
Your prospective clients
Let’s start by taking a look at your prospective clients. You see, most small business owners think that everyone with a need for their service is a prospective client. That’s a mistake. An expensive mistake too.
Your prospective client is someone who needs what you offer… PLUS… whose worldview is already aligned with the value you provide.
For example
Apple make billions, by marketing expensive, high quality products to fashion-conscious people who have money to spend. And it works. Last month’s iPhone 7 launch saw demand outstripping supply, as it has with every iPhone.
What Apple doesn’t do, is market to bargain shoppers, looking for a cheap, reliable phone. There’s just no point. So they focus exclusively on their ideal customer profile. That kind of clarity is what’s needed, when you want to create extremely targeted, effective marketing.
Focus, focus, focus!
So, focus your marketing on those who share your worldview. For example, if you’re a high quality or specialist provider, focus on marketing to the quality crowd. These are the people who will happily pay a premium fee for a premium service. In fact, they actively seek out premium providers.
By the way. If you attract too many fee-sensitive enquiries, it’s a sure sign that your marketing isn’t focused enough. Focused marketing not only attracts the right people… it also repels the wrong people, protecting you from time wasters.
