I’d like to ask you a question: How do you feel right now?
The reason I ask, is that it’s possible to massively improve the way you feel, by improving what you focus on. This is because everything you pay attention to influences you, often at a very deep level.
For example, one of the reasons many people find it hard to focus, is that their mind is being filled with random, often mixed messages. The mind fog this creates, can cause you to feel overwhelmed, tired or uncreative.
To turn this around, you need to understand what’s currently influencing you.
What influences you?
Here are just a small number of things, which influence how you feel and how you think.
- You are influenced by the people you associate with.
- You are influenced by the books, newspapers and magazines you read.
- You are influenced by the amount of TV you watch and the programs you consume.
- You are influenced by the radio stations you listen to.
- You are influenced by the people you follow on social networks.
How to consistently feel better and think better
If you want to consistently feel better, think better and work better, you need to deliberately feed your mind with better influences.
- Get around the kind of people who inspire you to grow.
- Read the kind of material, which feeds your mind with rich mental protein.
- Watch as little TV as possible. Embrace ‘reality’, not ‘reality TV’.
- Listen to radio stations, which lift your spirits or educate you.
- Connect with people on social networks, who bring value to you.
I made these changes over 20 years ago and it improved every element of my life, which is why I wanted to share this with you.
